FAQ

Dosage & How to give it to my pet

Dosage is based on weight:
For small pets (under 10kg): 1⁄4 ml
Medium animals (10-25kg): 1⁄2 ml
Large animals (+25kg): 1 ml

It’s essential to consider your pet’s individual personality and preferences, but here are some methods we have found work well. Always ensure you are using the correct dose.

Before meals

Place the recommended dosage in their empty food bowl, allowing them to lick it up before adding their regular food.

Rubbing on the nose

If your pet doesn’t mind having things applied to their nose, you can put the oil on your finger and gently rub it into their nose. They can then lick it off at their own pace. This method ensure quick absorption.

Rubbing inside the ears

For pets that aren’t food-motivated or have issues with their digestive system, applying the oil inside their ears is a great option. The thin skin inside the ears can absorb the oil directly into their bloodstream.

Tips for success

Yes. Products made with ingredients cultivated in nature can vary slightly from batch to batch. Cannafox’s Extract contains no additives or dyes. If there is variation in product colour, it is thanks to nature’s sway of seasons. We test each batch to ensure the amount of hemp extract stays consistent in each product.

Farming practices

We treat all of our plants as individuals, with the care it requires to reach full maturity and flowering potential. All of our crops are hand cultivated in organic Australian soil using best practice sustainable farming methodologies. Our plants are fed at the same time every day rich nutrient water and cultivated in soils in outdoor plantations with access to natural sunlight enriched Byron Bay hinterland. From seed to bottle Cannafox style.

We work with ethanol extraction, a method has been used for centuries and is considered a “traditional” preparation method for phytochemicals. The plant material is soaked in ethanol, then it is filtered to separate the solid from the liquid solvent-solute solution.

The solution is processed using rotary evaporation or falling film evaporation to remove the solvent. This results in our raw hemp extract.

What’s what in the hemp world

Hemp is a cannabis plant dominant in CBD cannabinoid. It has a low THC content, generally no more than 0.3%, which is non-detectable and isn’t enough to produce any psychoactive effects. Hemp is one of the most versatile plants on the planet with many benefits and uses. From oils to rope, paper to building materials, textiles and bioplastic, cosmetics to biofuel. We believe almost any idea can be made out of hemp.

The main difference is that THC has a psychoactive effect, while its cousin CBD, doesn’t.

They interact with different cannabinoids receptors, therefore producing different effects.

We have two types of cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. THC binds with receptors – mostly in the brain – that control pain, mood, and other feelings. That's why THC can make you feel euphoric and give you that so-called high.

CBD doesn't cause that high. Instead, it's thought to work with other elements in the body linked to feelings of well-being.
