HEMP SCIENCE & BENEFITS

The Entourage Effect refers to how hemp’s natural compounds - like cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids - work better together than alone.

The ECS helps maintain balance across many bodily systems - including stress, sleep, mood, pain, memory, digestion and immunity - in both humans and animals. Hemp extract works by supporting this system.

CBD is just one compound found in hemp. Full-spectrum hemp extract includes CBD plus other naturally occurring compounds like terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids and nutrients for more complete support.

No. Hemp seed oil is made from seeds and contains no cannabinoids. Our full-spectrum hemp extract is made from the flower, where the active compounds live.

No. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant family (Cannabis), but contain different levels of the naturally occurring compounds (cannabinoids). Hemp is dominant in CBD and low in THC (containing less than 0.3%). Marijuana works inversely and is THC dominant with low CBD.

THC creates a psychoactive “high.” CBD doesn’t. THC mostly binds to receptors in the brain, while CBD works more gently throughout the body – helping support mood, stress, pain, sleep and more.

FARMING & EXTRACTION: THE CANNAFOX WAY

We treat all of our plants as individuals, with the care it requires to reach full maturity and flowering potential. All of our crops are hand cultivated in organic Australian soil using best practice sustainable farming methodologies. Our plants are fed at the same time every day rich nutrient water and cultivated in soils in outdoor plantations with access to natural sunlight enriched Byron Bay hinterland. From seed to bottle Cannafox style.

Ethanol extraction efficiently draws out the valuable compounds (cannabinoids and terpenes), including cannabidiol (CBD), from hemp. It is a versatile and sophisticated method which can be performed at various temperatures and atmospheric pressures, allowing for more control over the final product. Cold ethanol extraction minimizes the capture of unwanted compounds like chlorophyll and is highly effective in maintaining the potency and purity of the CBD / hemp extract. Once the cannabinoids are extracted, the solvent is carefully evaporated, leaving behind a concentrated hemp extract rich in cannabinoids. It is considered eco-friendly compared to some other methods because the ethanol can be recaptured and recycled in the process.

Ethanol extraction aligns with regulatory standards in many regions, ensuring the production of safe and high-quality hemp-derived CBD products. It is efficient, cost-effective, and scalable in hemp and CBD production.

Hemp is a variety of the cannabis plant grown for wellness, nutrition, textiles, and sustainability - not for getting high. By definition, it contains less than 0.3% THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, meaning it won’t cause any intoxicating effects. Instead, hemp is rich in beneficial compounds like CBD, as well as fibre, essential fatty acids, and plant-based nutrients. It’s one of the most versatile crops on earth - used for everything from skincare to building materials.
